The funds raised from the Cycle for Life Fun Ride are to be used to fund projects that support the promotion of Children’s Life Skills and Healthy Living Programmes within our community.

In past years funding raised from this project has been used to support
- Lions Quest Skills for Living - Supported 2004 - 2009 working with professionals in the field of education, Lions have created a program which integrates into the health curriculum of our Primary and Intermediate schools in the fields of skills for life and drug awareness.
- Camp Quality - Supported 2008 - 2009
- South Auckland Health Foundation - Supported 2000 - 2009 Eye Glass Fund and in 2009 funded the refurbishment of the Healing Garden at KidsFirst Hospital
- Books in Homes - Supported in 2006 - 2009; CFL is the sponsor for the program at Point England Primary School
- East Auckland Drug Education Services. 2002 - 2003 An initiative of the Intermediate Schools in the Pakuranga / Buckland Beach community this program was assisted with funds to establish a proactive drug education program in the schools.
