We want to maintain our excellent safety record* and want everyone involved in our event to safely enjoy their day
For your own safety and the safety of those around you, please read, understand and adhere to the following rules:
- APPROVED CYCLE HELMETS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES!
- THERE IS NO ROAD CLOSURE!
- All roads are open to normal traffic
- A lead vehicle will be in front, do not overtake it
- All road rules must be followed
- All marshal's instructions must be followed - marshals are clearly identified by a safety jacket
- Be considerate and aware of other road users at all times
- Have your bicycle safety checked prior to the event
- We require that support vehicles do not follow, or mingle with, the event. As a safety precaution we reserve the right to remove any rider from the event who has a support person breach this requirement.
Waiver which you will need to sign and agree to to participate in the event.
I declare that I have fully read and understand the rules and conditions of the Cycle for life event. I attest that I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved in participating in this event and I understand that participation in the event is at my/our own risk. In consideration of the acceptance of my entry fee, I do hereby on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators and assignees release and forever discharge the sponsors of, landowners and any and all persons involved in the conduct of the Cycle for life event from any and all liability whatsoever or claims of damages or actions whatsoever (including negligence) in any manner arising out of my participation in the Cycle for life event. I certify that I am in good health, and have a level of fitness of a standard to complete the event. In submitting the entry form I agree to comply with the rules of the Cycle for Life event. I acknowledge that the return of the timing transponder is my responsibility, and agree that if I fail to return the transponder I will pay $50 for each and every transponder that I have not returned. I agree that the Cycle for life event and any sponsor of this event may use information contained in this form for purposes connected with the event, and to provide details of other products, services and events to me from time to time by post and direct email to the postal and email address provided in the entry form. I understand that I have rights under the Privacy Act to access and correct any information held about me.
* In the 12 years the Cycle for Life has been held we have not had any major accidents or incidents; please help us retain our safety record by using your common sense, keeping to the event rules and obeying all Road Rules.
